各种对象平行时空转移到了今天，有了新的形体、灵魂，和新的生命。

　　平面创作的福田荣来自日本，但往来中国已有八年之久了。
　　当两个人一起在讨论创作题目时，“平行世界”这个词就像水泡一样冒了出来，同时一个关于儿时的记忆也跟着出现，那是关于小时候的自己，总是躺在床上，想象另一个时空里或许存在另一个自己，一个更美丽、聪明、有才能的自己。后来想想，这或许只是孩提时代总有的自我厌恶、不安、躁动的一种表现。
　　那么，绝不会相交重迭的平行空间在偶然之间重合，那边的她和这边的她不经意地浮出、相遇，会是一幅怎样的场景？一开始脑海里没有清晰的图像，直到开始创作，才从过程中发现原来两个她都带一点忧郁性格。
　　也许，已是大人的我们，知道无论是那个世界的自己，还是这个世界的自己，都有烦恼的。

邓乃瑄 Nicole Teng
　　出生于台湾高雄，2007年因工作移居上海。
　　她的工作生涯起始于大型国际广告公司，十年的历程，包含 Ogilvy & Matter, BBDO, J Walter Thompson等，广告工作的本质是传播，这十年的工作背景影响了她后来的创作，她透过艺术创作来传达一些信息，媒材包含绘画、陶艺、家具和其它立体创作，2011年她创立了Brut Cake设计概念，Brut 一词来自艺术风格Art Brut(原生艺术)，Cake代表的是生活里的一丝幸福情感，原始粗糙的面貌和幸福感的交迭，便是她的创作领域。
　　除了艺术创作，她也跨足空间设计、商品设计等，2012年于上海成立Brut Cake展示空间，持续发表各项创作。（上海市安福路232号）

平行する空間に存在する様々な物たちが、新しい姿と魂とともに今ここで生まれ変わる。

　この展覧会は、立体作品を主とするニコール・タンと平面作品の福田さかえによる二人展である。

　台湾出身のニコールは、上海に住むようになって六年が経つ。上海は常に彼女の創作イメージを刺激するという。激しく変化を続けるこの街は、創作のための素材とインスピレーションを与えてくれる。 　忘れられかけている数多くの古い物の中から彼女は隠された魂や姿を見出し、本質を探り当て、新しい世界へと生き返らせた。その創作の過程は「不思議の国のアリス」の世界を思い出させる。アリスがウサギを追いかけて不思議の国に迷い込んだように、彼女はもうひとつの時空に飛び込み、様々なものに出会い、作品を作り出す。
　今回の展覧会で、私達は彼女の冒険を垣間見ることが出来るだろう。

　日本出身の福田さかえは、展覧会のテーマ「パラレルワールド」という言葉から、小さいころにベッドの中でもう一つの世界にいる自分を想像していた事を思い出した。この世界にいるつまらない自分よりもっと賢くて、綺麗で、才能のある自分。どこかにいるあなたかもしれない誰かを想像すること、それは子供の頃の自己嫌悪や不安、未熟さの現れだ。
　福田さかえは、交わるはずのないパラレルワールドがふとした拍子に重なった情景を描いた。しかし彼女が描く女の子達は、多くの子供たちがベッドの中で想像するような理想的な存在ではなく、現実の自分と同じように不機嫌そうに見える。
　確かに、大人になった私達は、あちらの世界にいる自分もこの世界にいる自分とそう変わらず悩み多き存在である事を知っている。

ニコール・タン
　台湾高雄出身。二〇〇七年より上海在住。
　十年間の大手広告代理店勤務の中で得た広告の本質である「伝えること」がその後の創作活動に影響を与えている。絵画、陶芸、家具或いはその他の立体物等の創作活動を通してメッセージを伝えている。
　二〇一一年、自身の創作活動を発表するオリジナルブランド「Brut Cake」を設立。「Brut」は「Art Brut（アール・ブリュット|生の芸術）」から取り、「Cake」は暮らしの中の小さな幸福感を意味している。原初的で粗削りな表情と小さな幸福感が交錯する領域が彼女の創作の原点である。
　二〇一二年上海にBrut Cakeショールームを開設、彼女の創作活動は空間デザイン・商品開発等まで広がりをみせている。（上海市安福路二三二号）

福田さかえ
　日本兵庫県出身。イラストレーター、グラフィックデザイナー。二〇一二年より上海在住。
　京都造形芸術大学情報デザイン学科卒業。デザイン事務所勤務を経た後、フリーのイラストレーターとして活動。元京都造形芸術大学非常勤講師。
　二〇〇八年、上海にて中国の纏足文化をテーマに扱った個展「Tiny Shoes」を開催した。

Various objects transmuted to the parallel time and space today, give rise to a new body, a new soul, and a new life.

This is an exhibition of two artists: one works with visual, two-dimensional images, the other makes three-dimensional works.

Nicole Teng, the three-dimensional artist from Taiwan has lived in Shanghai for six years. She always claim that Shanghai inspires her creative potential, which in recent years is embroiled in dramaticchange from old to new, gives her an endless source of inspiration. In this process of change, many old items were forgotten and seeing the hidden soul in such waste materials, each with their different styles, Nicole has  through her making, has renewed their respective original character once again. Revitalised in this new shining world, one cannot but be reminded of Alice tumbling into a Wonderland through the hole in the tree. The expansion into another space, another adventure, is also a way to convey the meaning of this exhibition.

The theme of the exhibition "parallel world", reminds Fukuda Sakae from Japan that she used to imagine being in another world while in bed when she was little; she being more wise, more beautiful and more talented than her boring self in this real world. To imagine yourself that you might be someone in another place might suggest self-loathing, anxiety and immaturity in childhood.
Fukuda Sakae depicts unexpected overlapping scenes that normally could never cross in parallel worlds. But rather than an ideal present many children like to imagine in bed, the girls she draws appear as sullen as their real selves.
Indeed, as adults we know that our selves in that world is the same existence as  our selves with our many troubles in this world.

Nicole Teng
Born in Kaoshiung, Taiwan, Nicole Teng moved to Shanghai in 2007.
She has worked for large advertising firms including Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO, J Walter Thompson for ten years. These ten years in advertising have taught her that the essence of advertising is communication and this has consequently influenced her approach to later works which include drawings, ceramics, furniture. In 2011, she established Brut Cake: Brut from 'Art Brut' and Cake evoking little happinesses in life of which their intersection is the source of her creation. Besides her work, she also designs interiors and products. In 2012. she founded Brut Cake studio on Anfu Road in Shanghai.

Fukuda Sakae
Fukuda Sakae is a Japanese illustrator and graphic designer. In 2012, she moved to Shanghai. She graduated from the Information Design Department in Kyoto University of Art. After working for several design offices, she subsequently became independent. She has also been a Part-Time lecturer at Kyoto University of Art and Design. Her exhibition 'Tiny Shoes' with the theme of Chinese feet-binding, opened in Shanghai in 2008.
